Well they sure look nice. I paid for one 4-5 years ago and no delivery so far. Also no reply to emails. Heard that other have similar stories.

There are a number of U.S. Switchers available. Aspen does an 0-6-0T. Lajos produced kits, just like the SW1200 project. Searails showed several at the PCR convention. Even Märklin has produced a couple of European models that, with a bit of work, can look like the more obscure brick-shaped U.S. models. And of course, as shown here, there are several customizers who produce real works of art.
The problem is that all of these solutions require a considerable investment: either in time and skills to build or monetarily with the customizers. What we really need is a Henry Ford to step up with a RTR mass produced unit at a reasonable price.
