On August 25, Paul told me: "I am actually in China right now. The right turnouts are done the lefts are in production, then we will have the shipment." So, they should be arriving sometime soon ... soon ... soon ... (how many times have we heard that?)

Latest update 1:12PM PDT per Paul:
//// The "pre-order" vs. "back order" description is for the way things are displayed on the website - basically anything that will be a stock item will show back-order and anything that is limited run will show preorder prior to arrival, and while quantities are available to order.
The turnouts are in production and are expected soon. ////
So, they were in production in August and are still in production in September.

Do you know the quickest way to make it rain? Go wash the car.
With that in mind, I decided to go ahead and lay another 40 feet of track on my Gotthard expansion. I've been waiting ever since Atlas announced the turnouts to do any track work. Enough! I'm laying the main line track now and I'll drop in the turnouts later.
This is the best way I know of to speed up the release of the Atlas turnouts.

Just in time to start my new home layout, moving in December 1st. I want to incorporate my last Z Bend Track module as a peninsula into the home layout cause It's got a "Boise" theme:

Except for the 2 MTL boxcars, some Architrees, and the track, I scratch built every single structure, detail, and rolling stock visible in those photos. There is about 2 years of work in there, with the cabooses taking the most time and the forklifts the least.

To add more interest, Walther's shows a ship date of April 2019. I've been considering get a Fast-Track jig, but they're probably backordered to May 2019. Mark

Guys,
I know we live in an instant gratification kind of world, but I don't see any big inconsistency with what Atlas has said, and what is happening:
69 days ago: "I am actually in China right now. The right turnouts are done the lefts are in production, then we will have the shipment"
Typical production runs take 20 days. Shipping takes another 30 days. Distribution takes another 20 days.
They are not far off.
