I'm afraid I find the SP & UP paint scheme rather obsure. Particularly the Pullman Green Baggage & the Armour Yellow heavyheights. I won't say they are wrong (I know better) but I haven't found a good reference to anything other than the SP grey in the standard trains. In the UP, I have references to heavy weights in Armour Yellow but mainly as emergency replacements after the Nevada accident, and on minor routes like the Utahn. Wonder if Rob A, could share could share a bit of the history of the cars he's selected, or add it to the inside of the product card.

Thanks for a couple of great links. The modelingthesp site looks to be accuate compared to data I have. The history I'm looking is more toward associating the cars with the trains they ran with.
The SP baggage most likely ran with a Pullman section, possibly N-S on the Lark or Owl, but most likely as SP's contribution to the Overland. Just can't find SP baggage that doesn't look like white on grey or green.
The UP sleepers trouble me a bit more. They were repainted in 1952. By that time UP had nearly all of the lightweight sleepers it needed. On the City trains I can find references to both C&NW and Walbash heightweight sleepers, but not UP. By 1955 nearly all the non-city trains had been ended or merged with streamliners. It seems that these may have been revenue cars in Armour for just a year or two. The UP diners & baggage are easy finds in just about any of their trains in the 50s.
Their still great looking and great running (behind a Mikado that isn't an AZL) cars and I'm quite satisifed with what I have. It's just a bit difficiult to consist a train than isn't mostly not AZL.
