Look here. I found them at another eBay seller, I ordered one package, they look fine and are more than ... 10 times cheaper than german products. Meanwhile I ordered 10 supplementary packages !

Thanks for the link! I'm still a month or so away from stockpiling landscaping for my NOCH Cortina layout but when I was building architectural models (in the early 80's) I found I could save a lot on expenses by getting creative with landscaping. With most buildings, figures, cars, and most "man made" items you just had to bite the bullet and buy manufactured items but natural elements could be made from just about anything. So I probably will be spending a lot of time and energy on that. But these trees are cheap and legit. Makes life easy.

If you need a lot of trees, the China-trees are a good solution. For my Pecan tree plantation I needed 140 trees. I mixed different types and varied the colour.

If you are not in a hurry, I would strongly recommend to also make your own trees. We made all our trees ourselves and its now many hundreds.......... This way, you can perfectly adapt your trees to the color and height your layout requires!

Sven,
Those are amazing pictures... How did you guys make your trees? And how did you make the water in the picture with the boat. The backdrop looks so much like the interior Bay Area where I live.
Cheers, Ajay

The only issue with the "chinese" trees is that they have all the same "green" colour ; but if You "plant" some of them on a piece of foam, then Tamiya sprays can do miracles ... Look for the different tones of green in the military series (we tested it ! ). The main advantage of these sprays is that they are available in most model shops ; in another domain, for example, the colour we used for my "brick" station is TS90, the colour used by ... Japan Ground Self Defense Forces ; and we are painting some buildings with AS29, a light green colour of the Japanese Navy ! Be creative and look over the fence to the (modelling) neighbours.
