Hello ... I ordered the "Queen Anne House" , scale 1/220 (by Stony Smith) at Shapeways ; the model looked fine when I got it ... but too small : the (red) entrance door is less than 7 mm in height, this is 5' in 1/1 : a house for Hobbits ... . So I compared both versions (1/220 and 1/300, they exist both), and a look to the dimensions proved ... that they were the same ! Same STL file on line ? I contacted the designer, he thought first that the 1/300 version was wrong, I answered that rather the 1/220 version was defective (looking at the door). The last answer was on sept. 1. : "I'll take a look". But nothing happened, both versions are still identical, at least one version has an issue (Murphy would say : both ) ... I contacted the designer again 2 days ago, with no answer. Maybe he can not be reached for any reason, but the 1/220 version is still online and can make "victims" : this house is becoming a clone of the Amityville house ! I took a glance to the other "coloured sandstone" by Stony Smith, they seem to be OK (meanwhile I ordered the "pizza shop"), at least if I "try" to calculate ... the height of the door, by using the 3D-version, and a screen copy !

I know Stony, and I can tell you that he is not out to create "victims."
Without disclosing too much, I can tell you that his capacity to respond might be limited for a week or two. I would ask you to have a bit of patience and I will relay this to him in case the communication channels have otherwise failed.

Thanks Dazed, You are right, I got an answer from "Stony" half an hour ago, he is not able to correct the problem at the present time for different reasons. At least I hope nobody else will order the house before the problem is solved ...

One other thought is to just "make lemonade". Often Z items are scaled oddly....might just push this house further back on the layout for some forced perspective. Just a thought.

Thank You Stony for the (now) correct dimensions of this house. I ordered it ... despite of the fact that I had meanwhile some issues with "Full Color Sandstone" ... I am still thinking that FUD is better !

Sorry, but "Full Color Sandstone" is brittle, too ... As I wrote, FUD would be a better choice !
