I have one in UP, and MP, so I know they existed, and in the future, I would like to get a few more in eastern or southern roadnames, but they do not show at all on either MTL or ZScaleMonster's website. Are these just temporarily O/S, or have they been permanently discontinued (due to damaged molds or whatever)?

Do you have the MTL part #? I don't recall any 40' gondolas and the MTL database shows only 50'.

If you are referring to the 143xx series of Gondolas they have bin listed as obsolete since the late 1990's
I believe MTL #14303 Union Pacific RD # 65239 was the last in that series to be released in November of 1999.

Those molds were destroyed before I got to MTL...16 years ago. I was able to pull aside some back stock for reference. I was hoping we could fix the mold but it was crunched pretty badly and some of the inserts were missing. I'd like to do a drop bottom GS gon to replace it someday.
